The 6th grade Student of the Month for November was Joshua Oglesby. Joshua is the son of Jonathan and Adrianna Oglesby. His favorite subject is reading. His teacher said, “Josh works hard, is respectful to adults, and is kind to his classmates. He goes out of his way to help his friends without even being asked.” Joshua enjoys playing video games, playing trombone, drawing and reading. He is involved in band and UIL. Joshua plans to go to art school and become and animator after he finishes high school.
The 7th grade Student of the Month for November was Emaia Andrews. Emaia is the daughter of David and Veronica Garrett. Her favorite subject is reading. She enjoys singing, dancing, drawing, and playing outside. Her teacher said, “Emaia is a joy to teach, because she takes her education very serious. She is kind and helpful to everyone. Emaia is a student whom you can count on to always tell the truth.” She is involved in cheerleading, Academic U.I.L., and athletics. Emaia plans to attend Stephen F. Austin and after she finishes high school to begin working toward her dream of becoming a pediatrician.
The 8th grade Student of the Month for November was JaMekka Wilson. JaMekka is the daughter of Micheal and ShaNekka Freeman. Her favorite subject is English. Her teacher said, “She is a very sweet and polite young lady who is very motivated to succeed. She always has a smile on her face and is willing to go the extra mile. Some of JaMekka's favorites are the color red, loaded baked potatoes, and science. In the future, she would like to become a registered nurse to be able to help people.” JaMekka is involved in Band and UIL and enjoys shopping and reading in her free time.
