Dear San Augustine ISD Community:

I am honored to step into the role of Interim Superintendent and serve the students, families, educators, and staff of San Augustine ISD. This district has a strong tradition of excellence and I look forward to building on that foundation while working collaboratively with all stakeholders to ensure the continued success of our schools.

My commitment is to prioritize student achievement, foster a positive learning environment, and support our dedicated educators in their invaluable work. I believe that strong partnerships between schools, families, and the community are key to creating an enriching educational experience for every child. Together, we will continue to nurture a culture of excellence, equity, and opportunity.

Over the coming weeks, I look forward to meeting many of you our students, parents, staff, and community members-to listen, learn, and engage in meaningful conversations about how we can grow together. Your insights and perspectives are invaluable, and I encourage open communication as we navigate this transitional period.

Welcome 2023-2024

Dear San Augustine ISD School Families,

Welcome to the 2023 - 2024 school year! We are thrilled to welcome our students and staff back to school. We hope that you were able to relax and make special memories with your friends and families. Now it is time to look forward to a wonderful new school year!

Our incredible staff of educators have been in school throughout the summer to prepare classrooms for the new school year. We are grateful to our amazing custodial staff as they worked all summer getting our school in pristine shape.

San Augustine Schools are such a special place to learn and grow. We are proud of our schools and have high expectations for each and every student. Our students are kind, compassionate, and eager to learn. Together with our dedicated staff, we strive to make connections with students to help them feel valued, accepted, and safe. Our overarching goal is to encourage active student engagement to foster a lifetime love for learning.

Partnering with families is crucial to promote a healthy transition to school both socially and emotionally. We recognize that students may be feeling anxious with the start of a new school year and we will continue to place a strong emphasis on social emotional learning while focusing on building a classroom community. We encourage families to stay connected and informed by following our district website and facebook pages.
