WELCOME TO "WOLF NATION" AND SAN AUGUSTINE ISD!

Over my career as an educator, I have grown so much. I now know that commitment, perseverance, love, and patience can change the course of a child’s life.  It has been a privilege and honor to return to my hometown and alma mater and serve as the Superintendent.  I am looking forward to a great 2024-2025 school year. I believe that it is critical for the Superintendent and all employees of the district to work together and understand the value of building relationships with not only each other but with our students and community as well.

On behalf of the San Augustine Independent School District, I would like to welcome you to Wolf Nation. Our student body, numbering over 600 students, and our 135 faculty and staff members work together to provide a great educational experience for your children. San Augustine Independent School District's students achieve excellence in their academic studies, as well as in their extracurricular endeavors. Numerous students have achieved local, regional, and statewide recognition for their academic, athletic, and extracurricular accomplishments.

San Augustine ISD facilities include San Augustine Elementary, San Augustine Middle School, and San Augustine High School. Our New Comprehensive High School and Multi-Purpose Athletic and Fine Arts Facility will be completed in 2026, with our first graduating class from the new facility set for May 2027. 

Although our school system is rural and small, we believe we have an amazing and highly qualified faculty and staff.  SAISD holds fast to our high expectations for our students and remains committed to providing quality education. It is important that we not only build character in our students but leadership skills as well. We have adopted a "growth mindset" and a  "no excuses philosophy." 

San Augustine Independent School District’s goal is to produce successful students who are also outstanding citizens.
